Description Site in Flintshire: This is the Roman Pharos I think its spelt that way. It was rebuilt sometime in the 1800s and just recently rebuilt again.
When I was young, the tower could be seen for miles, but over the years the Pine trees planted on the hill grew to obliterate the view.
A couple of years ago a big storm uprooted best part of the northern side and now once agin the tower can be seen from most directions.
