"This circle has been described as transitional in form between the Recumbent Stone Circles and the Four posters such as the Templestone"
whilst the OS label it as Standing Stones but Burl has it as a Stone Circle
This stone circle is oval in plan, 5.5 m by 2.8 m and has 5 stones of reddish granite ranging in height from 0.84 m to 0.99 m, the tallest at the SW.
A boulder of diorite lies 3 m to the S of these stones.
The circle lies on edge of a natural embankment to the West and would have good views to south and west but for the trees.
Access is opposite the private road to Glassel House along track through trees for 50 m. then at boulder take small path going South.
