Description On the right, the tall churchyard cross; beyond and to the left the split St Levan Stone. I have read suggestions that the stone represents the female form and the cross represents the male form, or that the proximity of the Christian cross neutralises the pagan influence of the stone.

Brilliant shot - the notion that the cross was to 'neutralize' the'pagan' influence is, in fact the perfect the 'balancing' of the pagan goddess energy with the male symbolism of the shafted solar cross, creating a powerful fertility vortex. I know of someone who conceived as a result of coming here in desperation!
