|Description ||In foreground the right-angled setting of stones just by the SSE causeway entrance, looking at the south arc of the circle. The longest stone here, sideways on, with the shorter one hidden behind right end of it.|
| On the horizon, the long high ridge running from right to left falls sharply away to the left near top centre of photo. I particularly noticed this feature when standing at the NW entrance, and wondered if the ancient henge/circle builders found this 'notch' that it makes with more distant hills important, bearing in mind that the henge and circle slope towards that area. The 'notch's compass reading was 334 degs. |
[Is 'Five Wells' tomb on the ridge??]
