|Description ||The Hahnheide is a mighty forest north-east of Trittau. |
At the eastern border of the 'Forst', near Hohenfelde, is an area that was used for cultic purposes in early iron age. There are 40 Schalensteine (cup marked stones) and a number of stone rows listed in the official papers.
These remains are hard to find, most of it is overgrown.
Still visible is a small circle of stones with some 7m diameter.
It is a beautiful atmospheric spot. The biggest stone of
the circle has a strange carving, a 'Furchenstein'.
