Close to Marloes, and facing across to Gateholm and Skokholm Islands, the series of defensive ramparts and ditches can easily be seen from along the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.
As can be seen from this photo taken from the east, the cliffs along this stretch provide a very good barrier. This leaves a relatively short landward stretch to be defended.
