The square pit is part of the pre-barrow mortuary structure - a yellow rope marks the encircling stake-holes. The blue rope marks a possible dwelling from a Beaker settlement. The Knowlton Prehistoric Landscape project is run by the School of Conservation Sciences at Bournemouth University as a field school for its undergraduate and post-graduate students as well as other participants. |
