Between here and the hedge along the lane (on the far side of the field) is "The Old Churchyard" earthwork, just visible as a cropmark. This was not a churchyard to accompany the Norman church built within the central circle, but another prehistoric earthwork. The "Northern Circle" lies just to the northeast of the Old Churchyard. |
