| Posted Comments: Andy B (2011-03-11) | Photos of the 2011 laser scans being done are here, ooh look, they have yellow jackets now, I'm impressed. | davidmorgan (2011-03-11) | Also a Z+F Imager 5010 laser scanner! Can I have one please? | Andy B (2011-03-11) | The main difference between the two scanners seems to be range, Alastair's one had a range of about 2m (see where they are standing relative to the stone). This new one has a range of over 150m! Alastair used to use clever self-written software to stitch the smaller bits of 3D mesh from the scans together into one large image, and reduce the data to feed into standard 3D modelling tools, the new scanner does large areas in one go. | davidmorgan (2011-03-12) | Can we see photos that we need 3D specs for yet? |
