Description The carving on the capstone. note the forelegs of the animal-figure.

the legs are surrounded by a skirt and are probably human. The symbol that looks like a plough...IS to this culture the rudder and the Plough were pretty much the same thing. The crook hook is a hearding implement but this culture was dependent on oyster harvesting and fishing. Most observers are convinced they had sails and rudders for medium sized sea going leatherclad boats. Although Coracles as such did not appear until the Bronze Age. This symbol is also indicitive of the Haafted axe, the stone is tapered to be inserted into a bent wood handle. The rope can be threaded through the upper hook portion for attachment, so here we see 3 uses for the same implement.

stonesavant: the legs are not human an not surrounded by a "skirt" it is just a small part of a larger carving depicting an animal.

Apparently the other sections of this carved stone are at Gavrinis and Er-Grah.

Those legs are the front two of an ibex.
