Description A very primitive, but also maybe one of the oldest human pictures in norwegian rock art?

I always find it strange that where there are these ancient carvings, and cave paintings etc, that the human form is so rare.
Animals and geometric shapes are commonly found, sometimes even fantasy animals, but hardly ever any humans. And usually (to my knowledge) those that are found are very simplistic, contrasting to the details often found in the animal pictures.

Hi Captain, I do not know if this is helpful, but as I am very much interested in petroglyphs some words:
Humans appear very often in other ancient (Bronze- and Iron-age) petroglyphs in Scandinavia (especially in the southern districts of Sweden and Norway) and Italy (Valcamonica Area).
The fact that stoneage carvings are somewhat focussed on animals is usually interpreted as The focus on animals of the stoneage-Animal carvings is often interpreted as an evidence for their usage as a “spiritual-help” for successful hunting. In Norway some of these stoneage-carvings are situated at places very suitable for hunt. But maybe the reality is not that simple ;-)
