Worth a visit, the location is pure paradise. |
| Posted Comments: TheCaptain (2007-11-10) | What a lovely stone. Thanks for these pictures Nicola. | nicoladidsbury (2007-11-11) | Its not too far from Castlerigg Stone Cricle. Parking is easy at Great Wood National Trust carpark, then just walk along the lake shore, and around the bay until you reach the stone. The views are wonderful. | thecaptain (2008-07-05) | Did a wonderful walk last Sunday, from Keswick to Castlerigg, up Walla Crag, down to Derwent Water and back along the lakeside to Keswick. That Sunday afternoon was our only sun and clear sky in a whole week in the Lake District !!! Most of the time it was heaving down with rain. :( This lovely stone was well within the lake ! |
