|Description ||Bull Haw Moss / Bleaberry Haws, nr Torver, Cumbria
From this stone a number of other smaller stones run down the valley in alignment with the Cove near the Old Man of Coniston and the dip between White Pike and Walna Scar (far left dip on photo). The alignment to the Cove also runs through an enclosure at SD267950 (looks like a white cross on photo). |
|Rich, has this stone been placed here by the ancients - or is it natural?
Excellent photo regardless, superb persepective on the Cumbrian hills.
An atmospherhic location - perfect setting for standing stones....|
|Ethelwulf, its that long since i went, cant even remember the stone...sorry|
