(2003-10-15) | How big is the circle? I don't want to be a nay-sayer(?) but I think this might be part of an oval medieval enclosure. The enclosure wall was made up of drystone walling and upright stones....... | bec-zog

Not a complete circle evident above ground , arc would indicate 10-12m diam e.g. hut circle size |
(2004-03-23) | The long houses and other buildings within the oval enclosure, were also constructed of upright stones as shown in your picture. Similar structures to this can also be found over the road, to the south of the Longshaw Estate. |
