|Description ||Late Bronze age to Early Iron age settlement at Cladh Hallen, near Daliburgh, South Uist.|
The site in May 2006. at the end of excavation (2001/2002) parts of the site were backfilled then covered in netting and then grass seed spread over the site.

| I think that the netting was put down to prevent, wind erosion, give something for the grass to bind to and prevent the rabbits digging the site up. |
However, in many areas the netting has become covered in moss, probably because the netting retains moisture. rabbits have got through the netting as can be seen from their holes. the netting has come off of some areas. in parts of the site there is now a decent layer of grass growing through the netting.
it is interesting to note that there is now standing water in the central roundhouse at certain times of the year.
