South facing it is located in the middle of a cattle field in a beautiful situation, with views over the rolling central Brittany hills. The cross on top has been attached to the stone and does little to detract from form and symmetry of it.
The original track way was still in evidence with high raised earth banks and a row of very old yew trees leading from the hamlet of Kerallain. This was impassable half way up, but still clear enough to point the way to the stone. |
