Terence Meaden writes in 'The Secret of the Avebury Stones':
"It has a hunched, bison-like appearance - best appreciated in good sunshine about 3pm GMT (4pm BST) by viewing its western or left side - and is of a bulk that seems fitting for one of the guardian or 'welcoming' stones." |
