Description On top of the bowl barrow on Beaulieu Heath at grid reference SU35720169, looking south. The EH Record of Scheduled Monuments says that it is 25 m in diameter and up to 0.7 m high. It is flat-topped and was built upon during the military use of the heath during the Second World War. There are still some concrete remains sunk into the barrow mound, seen here in the foreground. Now it is a bracken-covered tumulus, clearly visible from the B3055 road that passes by to the north. The hills of the Isle of Wight are visible in the far distance.
