We both have a fascination for this particular site, so spent just over an hour talking stones, dowsing, and ancient churches. Although the date on the porch says 1641, much of the structure is 14th Century, with likely a church on the site since the 6th Century. There are 3 ancient yews here, too. Notice the mammoth's rib and knee cap - apparently dug up from nearby fields at some vague point in the past. |
