|Description ||I was passing the position of this stone row on my way west from Alderman’s Barrow, and it was not as wet and overgrown as it had been at my last visit, so I thought that I would spend a little time looking for it again. |
Despite one of the stones supposedly being 0.5 metres tall, I could find nothing in the dense heather, which is up to a metre high in places. I spent about 20 minutes looking before I gave up and proceeded with my walk. I also had a quick look on the way back and found nothing.
This really is proving a bugger to find, I obviously need to be here after a heath fire to find anything.
| This is the view eastwards towards Alderman's Barrow, late April 2007. The grass and heather has not started to grow yet, but still way too long to find anything. |
