Description Somewhat surprisingly central Texas is famous for wildflowers. The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center protects 280 acres of land and its native wild plants just southwest of Austin Texas, including both natural areas and cultivated gardens. On the grounds is a lithic scatter site surrounding an outcrop of chert nodules and other stones. The partially finished points and blanks were dated to 6000 - 7000 BC.
