I have only just visited these fabulous labyrinths - not long after you Thorgrim. Cannot why I took so long as I frequently visit the Waterfall across the road. They are worth the trip to Kernow, not least because of the other sites of beauty within easy reach. I was curious to see your comment 'possibly later copies'. It was a thought that crossed my mind strongly, as I sat quietly working the 'paths' of the carvings. Why did you say that? Curious - Maia SW UK

Only just caught uo with your query, Maia. Looking at the labyrinths - they just seem too perfect. After I took the photograph, someone told me that they had been analysed and the verdict was that they had been carved sometime in the last 300 years with a metal chisel. Still beautiful though and just shows that the old ways continue. Love your picture of the holy well

Good article about the Rocky Valley Labyrinths at: http://www.labyrinthos.net/rockyvalley.htm Still loved the place and Labyrinths still definitely have mystery for sure. A mantra is just a spoken word or produced sound but still has the power to change psychological/physcical/emotional and even spiritual levels within us.
