|Description ||Mid-Summer Sunset from BrideStones. Unfortunately the vegetation to the east of the site means that the setting sun is not visible from the stones. Compare with mid-winter sunset submitted by Vicky.|
|Superb picture. Before the early 19th C plantation was there, the midsummer solstitial setting would have been visible from the forecourt of Bridestones. Astronomer|
| The obscuring plantation was mid 19th C. When Bridestones was constructed the midsummer sunset would have been visible (assuming no trees) from the ceremonial circle within the horns of the cairn.|
