SV 9099 1230.
Bants Carn entrance grave is above the Halangy Downs Iron Age settlement, but is 1500 years older. Its entrance passage is 14 feet long and faces the sunrise at the midsummer solstice. Aligned to the Long Rock standin stone.|

|we had a quiet hour here a pic nic admired the wonderful panarama across to trescos white beaches a tranquil place knowing a little of its past we wondered what stories these stones could tell us |

Having been lucky enough to work a Summer season in Scilly, it brings back some awesome memories of roaming around the downs and over cliffstops, taking in scenery and an overwhelming amount of Prehistoric archaeology!
