(2007-02-20) | William Stukeley's 1723 etching of the site shows it as being completely devoid of trees, and certainly without a metal fence and metalled road. The tree felling/branch lopping was something to do with fungus. | AngieLake

(2007-11-24) | It still looks pretty much the same. The sawdust had dispersed and there's a bit of undergrowth behind the tree now. |
