Adjacent to the moor-edge path between the Swastika stone and Addingham Moor. Still easily overlooked though! Does anyone know how it got it's name? |

I have a picture taken when the sun is setting and the carvings are more distinct. | handaxe (2003-11-03) | I thought his was called the Piper Stone. I have a picture taken when the sun is setting and the carvings are more distinct which I will send. | davidraven (2003-11-03) | It's sometimes called the Piper's Crag Stone, but the 1:25,000 OS map calls it the Noon Stone (unless the Noon Stone is another stone entirely, somewhere very close to this one! :-D) | andy h (2003-11-05) | Yes, this is known as the Pipers Crag Stone. The Noon Stone is an erratic boulder nearby to the west. | davidraven (2003-11-05) | You're right! I just looked today. The Noon stone is about 750 meters to the west. Oops! Apologies! :-) |
