(2011-09-14) | Our distant ancestors would have seen these too. Perhaps such ancient wonders are the inspiration behind stone circles and dolmens and can be said to reflect Mike Parker Pearson's ideas about wood equating with the living and stone with the dead. Ancient peoples would have witnessed this wood turned to stone in death. |
