Have been back today in the gloom and wetness, first time back in several years, and all the rock art was magnificently visible. Most pleasing of all was this art beneath the armchair. Every source I have looked at on and offline mentions the circles and the cross. Clearly visible here is a ring of petaloid or triangular marks around the outer circle - making me think of a sunburst, or flower perhaps. Something solar seems more feasible. If it is solar, might these other indentations on the rock be representations of stars or planetary bodies? Just a suggestion. |
