Woodbarrow is situated on a gentle slope with excellent views across the Cotswolds to the east. The barrow itself is very eroded, I estimate no more than half a meter high, and without a map would be very difficult to find.
The barrow is under grass in the corner of a ploughed field. In the photo you can just see a difference between the grass over the barrow and the crop coming up behind it. The mound is very low, though walking across it you notice the rise and fall of the ground more than just looking at it.
The site is on a minor road with wide, flat grass verges, though they seemed quite soft so I would avoid parking on them in wet weather! (I parked about 200m further up the slope in front of a farm gate). There is a style in the low stone wall allowing access.
