(2006-11-06) | I'm thinking this is a natural rock formation, although the rocks on top may have been piled there--hard to tell about them without seeing more. I have a photograph of a rock formation very like this, extremely like this, on an end table in my house. It's from the top of Slide Mountain in the Catskill Mountains of upstate New York. Who would think something that far away would look so much the same? | Maxim

(2006-11-10) | Maxim, I only have a paper photo, nothing I can post or send on line. I am sorry to say it has been more than six years since I have been to the top of Slide Mountain, and now it may be that I will never get there again. It is a challenging climb and I have aged. At any rate, if I visit anyone who has a scanner I can use, I will ask whether I may scan the photo so that I may send it. | Maxim
