Contact them for permission to reproduce it. |  | | Description | The Caratacus Stone sits in a little stone shelter in order to protect it from the worst of the elements, near to a road junction a couple of kilometres to the southwest of Winsford.
It is thought to have been carved and erected in the 6th century AD to commemorate King Caratacus’ victory over the Romans in AD54 – erected by one of his descendants as a bit of a publicity booster. |
