It is neatly framed in the dip of the distant hills, and could have marked the Midwinter Solstice sunset.

I meant to say "the Mid-Summer Solstice sun may set over the 'Gorsedd' rock" (from this raised position, near to a rock basin at the SE perimeter of the defences). | AngieLake (2009-08-11) | I cringe when looking at these awful photos. This was the last straw, in 2006, when picking up an extremely disappointing set of films of a place I'd loved so much, and left that photo processing agents shop never to return. It's a wonder the glass didn't fall out of the door! |
