Although known as a healing well we have not been able to find what it healed but it was visited on Trinity Sunday when the water, sweetened with sugar, was partaken of. Today the water is still collected for use in baptisms and is also very much desired by those partial to a drop of water in their whiskey. It is a lovely spot just to stand and listen to the trickling water and the song of the birds. |
