Take the A96 out of Inverness towards Nairn for a short way. Turn right signed Smithton. Just before the road goes over the railway line you will see a Forestry Commission carpark on your left. There is a maze of paths but if you head up hill and veer left you will come to a foot bridge over the railway line. Cross this and keep straight ahead. Past the next intersection the path starts to descend and soon the well will be obvious on your right. It's about a 15 minute walk. |
