Contact them for permission to reproduce it. |  | | Description | St Martin’s Chapel and graveyard used to lie just to the east of the well and the many large carved stones which lay scattered about were obviously once part of a structure, probably the chapel as there are just too many to have been a wellhouse … unless it was a very splendid one. According to the Ordnance Survey of 1875 the well was covered over by a stone roof. |
