(2005-08-01) | I saw a TV programme about this. The place had storage areas, beds and even a wc with drainage out to the sea. Fascinating. | JimChampion
(2005-08-01) | The programme was on BBC2 a few months ago: "What the Ancients Did For Us" with Adam Hart-Davis and friends. The episode was about the ancient Britons, and well worth watching. AHD is particularly enthusiastic about toilets of all kinds, and it is his opinion that those at this site are the oldest in the world! I thought Chysauster in Cornwall was good - this place is 3000 years older! |
