The well is adjacent to St Pratt’s Cross near the entrance to the village. Water from the well is used as the source of holy water for Christenings and there is an annual pilgrimage from the church to St Pratt’s Cross & Well near to 22nd September each year (the first Sunday after the 22nd is St Pratt's feast day).
