Erected by Public Subscription AD. 1860”. It is built on the site of St Kieran’s Holy Well, a chalybeate spring, which was unfortunately lost during the building of this fountain which was to have delivered it’s water! St Ciaran’s Church is about one and a half miles from the well. |
