From Mawnan village follow the signs for about 1 mile to the Mawnan Old Parish Church which is situated on the clifftop 4 miles southwest of Falmouth Bay. The church dates from the 13th century.
The well is on private land in the garden of The Rectory. A gate guards steep steps down to a sunken path leading to the well. St Mawnan’s Well is still blessed with fresh, clear water and the ambiance is magical. The well has been dressed annually over the last few years, rather untraditional for a Cornish Well but excellent for community interest and involvement in a magical well.
