Nice one Jim. And good to see that the stones are visible, as they were all completely covered in bracken and gorse when I last visited.

A fine night shot of these spectacular, squat, standing stones, Jim. The light conveys the mysterious and eerie atmosphere of this wonderful site.

Captain - the enclosure containing the circle has been completely cleared of bracken, and the path there from the A30 layby has been much improved too. Made it much easier getting there in the dark! Ethelwulf - I had expected it to be spooky, but it only registered at 'mysterious'. It was a very clear night and its always good to see how many stars there really are in the night sky!

Oh - wow! - I like this one. I think I'D be a bit scared on my own.

I had company (see my Boscawen Un photos from 2004) and it was quite good fun running round with the torch while the shutter was open (15 seconds, if you're wondering). Not scary at all. On this occasion coats, a tripod and torches were needed. It really is quite easy to get down there from the road now that the path has been cleared.
