Carved East-facing stone next to Bedd Arthur.
Just a couple of hundred metres north of the Bedd Arthur ellipse, this stone with its clear cross enclosed in a circle (much clearer in the flesh!) faced due East, presumably ready to catch the rising sun, being slightly higher than Bedd Arthur itself.
Has anyone else commented on the existence and direction of this stone - I have not found anything on the Portal about this particular stone, but I have noticed comments about such designs representing the sun? |
