gormer (2003-11-29) | I've not been to Nine Ladies, but your haunting photograph was so lovely it inspired a poem. I hope you won't mind me placing it alongside your picture.
Ringstone Rondelet for a December Night Two Thousand Years from Now
Still the stones
Shall meet in circles, shadow-crossed.
Still the stones
In rings of moon and ragged bones
Shall fuse the dusk of epochs lost
When madrigals of furze and frost
Still the stones. |
Thorgrim (2003-11-29) | Does this photo capture the spirit of the Nine Ladies? If you think so, why not nominate it for our new "Spirit of Place Gallery" |

Our family moved out to New Zealand in the 70's and I've always wanted to pop back for a visit. |

Bongoflunky (2005-03-21) | Put simply - my favourite place. It energises me. I visit every weekend and find it hard to stay away. The protest looks like it is a step closer to winning with a decision within the next 8 weeks they reckon. All on site seem in a positive mood. Take them some food and they will love you.
Stanton Moor inspires me in many ways.
This is my favourite picture of the Ladies.
Definitely the spirit of the place.
It looked like this 3 weeks ago - hard to believe after seeing all the new green growth last weekend.
Visit it, love it and keep it inside you forever.
