Formally a Roman settlement, Bussana Vecchia, (it means twice healthy!).
I came across this Roman sculpture/water spout, hidden away up a cobbled back alley.

(2006-08-27) | Yes - I debated whether to upload the original, but the artist in me won...and I obviously added the demonic eyes.
This is a tiny part (Crop) of a large and otherwise dull photo, taken in Bussana vecchia, in Italy near the French border.
An ugly sprawl of medieval buidings, in an otherwise beautiful part of Liguria.
