The water bowl which is also visible was removed twice by a farmer, who thought it would be of more use in his pigsty, but somehow found it's own way back on both occasions. The determined farmer tried a third time but was struck dumb and went mad. We left the bowl where it was. It is also said that if you visit this well but leave no offering you are likely to be followed home by the piskies who frequent the well. |
