Devon Dowsers member Rodney S stands on the small round cairn. Behind him the path through the forest runs left to right towards the south. The tracks are easy to walk on but not well marked, hence several members who tried to find us got lost and ended up on the open moor!
To find the site, drive past the car park till you get to a large barn on the left, where there is ample space to park. Take the pathway on the left a few yards further on, then follow it straight up hill. You'll pass two or three smaller junctions but when you come to a very wide open junction, take the right hand fork pathway. You'll see the tall stone to your right not too far along here. |
