Description One of the two tumuli marked on the map.Taken looking due West.
I am standing some way (15m?) in front of the tumulus (my height 1m93/6'4"). The tumulus is aproximately 22 metres in diameter.
I could find no evidence of a 2nd tumulus ....It may be under the maize on either side of the field.... (the maize behind the tumulus, or behind the camera).

Well done Nick - you got there eventually ! The two tumuli both show clearly on that aerial picture. But the position does not match our site page position, so could you give us better coordiantes ?

Ah, position now sorted. I was confusing the Autoroute service area for a junction.

By the way, if you PM me your email address, I could send you a copy of an old map (assuming I can find it) which has many hundreds of mounds and tumuli marked on it in the Tarbes / Lourdes area for you to try your hunting skills on. You may be pleasantly surprised to find some splendid stone chambers inside, like Pouey-Mayou, but more likely to find most have been completely ploughed out, such as the terrible recent destruction of La Halliade.
