(2006-08-09) | We got wet on the Saturday, so on the Sunday I got all togged up with my 2nd hand wet-weather trousers and a showerproof top. Guess what - it was sunny and hardly rained at all ..... but my trousers underneath were soaking when I changed! 'Breathable' togs are on my list of must-haves now! | Nick-

(2006-08-14) | They're L-shaped copper rods Nick. I got mine from Devon Dowsers' supplies when I used to attend their autumn/ winter meetings. They come in all weights (mine are fairly light and slender) but men tend to go for slightly heavier ones, and these often come in a steely-coloured metal. The heaviest ones I've seen are those Hamish Miller uses. He is a blacksmith and makes his own. Our member 'Hamish' had some of his I believe. Haven't tried it with metal coat-hangers, but heard it works. I'm sure you'd soon get the hang of it. Most people can do it, they just lack faith in their own skills. | hamish
(2006-08-15) | I have a pair of Hamish Miller's rods but they are a little heavy for me. I use copper rods similar to Angie's but a little heavier than hers. I have seen some odd ways of dowsing tho'. http://www.diviningmom.com |
