|Description ||The scheduling describes this enclosure as “kidney shaped with 2 distinct lobes, with evidence of an internal division. The east lobe is earlier than the west, the west enclosure may represent an extension…….the walling is typically 4m wide & 50cm high, but several orthostats exceed this height. The enclosure appears to be prehistoric in date & may have been used for agricultural purposes. A carved rock is located inside the west lobe…….”
The recent heather burning has revealed more walling to the north ( I think) & another cupmarked rock in the east lobe (& I’m sure there’ll be more to find) –NZ06910834. This is the eastern edge.
