| Posted Comments: astronomer (2006-08-04) | There is a similar cross, depicting an anchor, in a nearby Biddulph churchyard...I forget which...the one with the Crusader tombstones. This is thought to have been originally located on the Trent/Mersey watershed that runs diagonally across the landscape from Rushton, via Bridestones, to Mow Cop. | TimPrevett (2006-08-04) | Wish I'd known that before work - been working in Biddulph last 3 days, and not sure when I'll be there next. Thanks - noted for future reference. | astronomer (2006-08-06) | My mistake, the Red Cross is in the churchyard of St John's, Knypersley, 2km south of St Lawrence at Biddulph where the Crusader tombstones are to be found against the south side of the church. |
