Originally the sea was much further out, but it is the sea which will dictate the future of this neolithic village. The sea is eating around the sides of the defences, and unless substantial investment goes into more extensive erosion prevention, the decades ahead will prove critical in either preserving and / or accessing the original village. Should this picture stay around for that long, taken mid June 2006/ |
